Artist StatementThe visual spontaneousness and transparency of the watercolor medium plays an important role to the aesthetics of each painting. With watercolor, there is a level of risk and unpredictability that makes working with this medium exciting. My watercolors are rich with personal stories and fantasies. Many paintings use organic forms, human/animal related imagery and objects of beauty to convey those expressions. Through vivid colors, blends and textures I capture a sense of intimacy, movement and playfulness within each subject matter.
