Hi there! I'm Lindsey Lee Miska, a passionate art teacher from Libertyville, Illinois. Currently, I'm fortunate to work at Fremont Middle School in Mundelein, Illinois, where I get the opportunity to inspire young minds through the wonders of art. Teaching has not only allowed me to nurture my students' creativity, but it has also fueled my own artistic journey.

Art has been an integral part of my life since childhood. Growing up, I quickly discovered my love for creativity and realized that art was something I wanted to pursue further. After graduating from college in 2003, I embarked on my teaching career, eager to share my passion for art with students.

As an artist and teacher, I firmly believe that art has the power to transcend boundaries and connect people. It is a language that speaks to the soul, evoking emotions and sparking imagination. I find great joy in witnessing my students' growth and seeing them embrace their unique artistic voices.

Amidst my journey as an art educator, I have consistently honed my skills and explored various mediums. However, painting holds a special place in my heart. The process of painting allows me to express myself freely, unleashing a world of colors, textures, and stories onto the canvas.

In 2017, I took a leap of faith and decided to share my paintings with a wider audience, reaching beyond the confines of my classroom walls. Participating in local art shows provided a platform for me to showcase my artwork to the community, connecting with fellow artists and art enthusiasts. It was incredibly gratifying to witness the impact my paintings had on viewers, evoking emotions and resonating with their own experiences.

Embracing the digital age, I also ventured into sharing and selling my paintings online. The virtual realm allowed me to transcend geographical boundaries and connect with art enthusiasts from all walks of life. It has been a remarkable experience, exchanging stories and building connections with individuals who appreciate and value art.

Although it can be challenging to balance my role as an art teacher and my passion for painting, the two pursuits continually inspire and fuel one another. Teaching keeps me connected with the evolving artistic landscape while allowing me to share my knowledge and experiences with eager minds. Simultaneously, my personal artistic endeavors provide a never-ending well of inspiration and unique insights to bring back to the classroom.
